Dhuandhar Falls

The Dhuandhar Falls, fall in Jabalpur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The Falls are located on Narmada River in Bhedaghat and are 10 meter high. The Narmada River, makes its way through the world-famous Marble Rocks, narrows down and then plunges in a waterfall known as Dhuandhaar. The plunge, which creates a bouncing mass of mist, is so powerful that its roar is heard from a far distance. And the energy produced may be used in Hydro-electric power plant.

Bhedaghat Marble Rocks

Situated 25 km away from the main city of Jabalpur on the banks of Narmada river, the marble rocks at Bhedaghat rises to a height of a hundred feet and spread across 25 kms. These marbles stones reflect sunlight and cast shadows on the pristine water of Narmada, creating a serene and spellbinding environment. These marble like magnesium limestone rocks cast different colours in different lights and look especially beautiful in the moonlight. This area can be reached by taking a motorboat from the jetty at Panchvati Ghat (Rs. 30 per head) and its a 50 minutes ride along the river Narmada. One can You reach Bhedaghat by road by hiring a taxi from Jabalpur and it will take just 30-40 minutes to reach here. Government buses and shared auto-rickshaws are also available from Jabalpur to take you to Bhedaghat.

Laxminarayan Gopalpur Lameta

In Vedic tradition, only two fasts are said to be superior .. Ekadashi and Pradosh. In these also, the significance of Ekadashi is more pronounced. The founder of this date is Narayana himself, who is the follower of the world. Very few people will know that there is also a temple of Ekadashi Mata in Jabalpur. Mother Ekadashi is seen riding Lord Garuda along with Lord Narayana in this age-old temple. Others are also ancient and rare statues. This ancient temple located in Lamhetaghat Gopalpur village, six km from Sagara on the Jabalpur-Nagpur highway, is also known as Lakshmi-Narayan.

Madan Mahal

History has it that forts always play an important role in every civilization. It can take us to a different world when there were kings and kingdoms. Chausath Yogini Temple Bhedaghat

Many places in India boast variations and mysteries. There are many things in these, which surprise people. Among them is the 64 Yogini Temple at Bhedaghat in Jabalpur. Fourteen Yoginis (statues) are still guarded in this temple even today. Once famous all over the world for tantra cultivation, this temple was also the center of time calculation. It is known as Golki Math.In the center of this temple is a supernatural statue of Shiva-Parvati riding on the Taurus (bull), for which the crowd of devotees is gathering in the Navratri to see it. The Tribhuji Kon temple has fragmented statues of yoginis, who are not only indigenous but also a center of attraction for foreign tourists.

Pisanhari ki Madiya

Pisanhari Ki Madiya is a Jain pilgrimage centre located amidst lush greenery in mesmerising hilly region near Netaji Subhash Chandra Medical College in Jabalpur. The temple is revered by the Digambara sect of Jainism and is considered at least 500 years old. The shrine can be reached by climbing a flight of 150 steps and also has accomodation facilities for pilgrims.

Dumna Nature Reserve

Dumna Nature Park is one of the best places you can visit to enjoy nature, bird watching and just to relax. They also have a Bicycle track. Would suggest to avoid holiday time and weekends. Only issue is people visiting do not care and litter around. It is a bird watchers paradise and even spotted deer and other minor wildlife can be seen at times. Had heard that Leopard also visits at times but we were not lucky enough to spot one. If you are at Jabalpur and love Birding do visit.
